Trainee Assistant Coffee Roaster

Job Description

 Main roles

  • Roasting, packing, and making coffee.
  • Preparing orders for customers.
  • Helping with other essential duties when needed.

Training will be provided.

 Essential qualities and skills

  • Passion for coffee, fairer trade, and North Wales
  • Personable, polite, and welcoming
  • Welsh speaking (or the willingness to learn)
  • Computer literate

 Desirable qualities and skills

  • An understanding of e-commerce sites and other web-based platforms
  • Experience of working in a coffee shop or in catering
  • An interest in social media platforms
  • Technical know-how

 Working hours and remuneration

  • Core hours: 21-24 hours per week across 3 to 4 days
  • There will be an expectation to work some Saturdays during the summer (in addition to or instead of one of the other days – depending on the successful candidate)
  • Initial wage – Above National Living Wage (dependent on age and experience).
  • Starting date - As soon as possible
